1940s Vintage Blue Medical Nurses Uniform Dress

A classic shirt dress is a staple in anyone's vintage wardrobe! This is a vibrant blue button down long sleeve shirt dress or jacket. It is dated 1940s and was used as part of a medical uniform, but the buttons don't go down very low, so it may have been used as a jacket over one's clothing. It has buttons at the cuffs and two large hip pockets. There's no label on the inside, it's worn out, but it feels like cotton. It is in excellent condition, but has been hemmed up. It measures Bust 38" Waist 30" Hip 36" Length 34 1/2" shoulder seam to shoulder seam 15". Shown on a dress form measuring Bust 36 inches, Waist 25 inches, Hip 36 inches. This is an authentic vintage piece in wearable condition, that has been cleaned and repaired (if necessary).
